How to store kitchen knives in a drawer in a simple, budget-friendly way using the good old classic Jenga blocks. If you’re looking for an easy and affordable way to keep your kitchen knives neat and safe in a drawer, Jenga blocks might be just what you need! They’re a classic game that many households—especially those with kids—already have on hand. In our home, we own a complete set, and we even ended up with some extra blocks from a friend, which means we’ve got more than we need. Instead of letting them sit unused, I figured—why not repurpose them into something practical?

How to Store Kitchen Knives in a Drawer: The Simple Steps

Clean The Drawer

First, I cleaned the cutlery tray using a damp cloth and allowed it to dry.

Paste the Glue Pads on The Blocks

I pasted the Glue Pads on each of the blocks. These glue pads are great because they are removable and reusable. I have been using them for a variety of crafts for as long as I can remember, and I would highly recommend them!

Place the Jenga Blocks

I placed eight Jenga Blocks along the top and another eight along the bottom of the cutlery tray to keep the knives perfectly in place. I arranged them from largest to smallest, starting from the right. The great thing is, the setup is totally flexible—you can easily shift the blocks around to fit the size and number of your knives, as well as the space in your drawer.
